Hand-Drawn Restoration

Over the past one or two centuries, the areas along railway lines have changed dramatically. In eras when photography was not widespread, some locations left behind no old photographs, while others have old photos that are so unclear that the scenes and structures depicted are nearly impossible to recognize.

Consequently, I conducted on-site field research based on location data from old photographs, historical maps, and satellite imagery. At the same time, I interviewed a vast number of local residents and railway workers, striving to untangle various historical mysteries.

Through this effort, long-changed stations, line sections, track layouts, and scenes of historical events are brought back to life before our eyes...
